Software FITs (Feed In Tariff) was introduced in the UK in April 2010 by the Government to encourage the growth of low carbon generating technology. Anyone who installs PV solar panels can get paid for the electric they generate by their electricity supplier.

To claim your FITs you must have your PV Solar Panel installation carried out by a Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) accredited installer. Cornwall Solar Panels are MCS accredited PV installers, accredited through NAPIT.

The FIT rates vary depending on the size of the PV Solar Panel installation.

  • 4 kWp or less = 21p per unit generated
  • Over 4kWp but not more than 10kWp = 16.8p per unit generated
  • Over 10kWp but not more than 50kWP = 15.2p per unit generated
  • Over 50kWp but not more than 250kWP = 12.9p per unit generated
